Any body work should be done after the epoxy primer. Once the body work is completed, and other coat of Epoxy as a sealer is applied. Then the Urethane primer goes on. WebNov 2, 2024 · There are paints that are not compatible. When I was working on mine I spoke with my painter before I primed. He gave me some options on primers and sealers that work well with his brand of paint. I did all the priming, 95% of the block sanding. All he did was a little blocking where my quality was lacking, selaed it and sprayed 2 stage. WebJul 8, 2024 · Prepped the surface by hand sanding with 220, then 420 (took a solid 6 hours) Then did 3 coats of this fantastic primer, which dried to the touch in about 2 hours (55 degrees outside with 70% humidity). And if you want good coverage, do a second coat hours later as it's too wet to re-coat like you can when you spray with a 30 minute flash time.
