Web1 apr. 2024 · Vestibuloplasty is a surgical procedure used to deepen the vestibule, increasing the height of the alveolar ridge, and thus facilitating the dental rehabilitation with removable dentures not supported by implants. The indications of this surgery include the insufficient alveolar ridge secondary to alveolar traumatisms. Web11 patients. Bimaxillary vestibuloplasty was performed in three patients. In six patients, palatal mucosal, meshed skin and reversed dermal grafts were used for maxillary vestibuloplasty. Mandibular vestibuloplasty was performed on the remaining patients. Healing of all graft types was successfully achieved with no complications (Figs 1 – 5).
