Each applied to our Flagship State University as their safety and financial safety school. The rest of the schools were split about 50% target and 50% reach. WebHonestly, I think that thinking about safety vs reach isn't really a good way to think about graduate school. I can see safety vs reach vs dream being useful for undergrad and perhaps some professional programs. However, for PhD, in psychology, I suggest you think about it a bit differently. Graduate school is a means to an end.
