The Montana mine produced gold, silver, lead, zinc, and copper…peaking in the mid-1930s. While never a large town, Ruby had a population of about 1,200 people. WebbGleeson, Courtland and Pearce are strung along the length of Arizona’s Ghost Town Trail. Located 16 miles east of Tombstone, Gleeson boomed for a few decades with the discovery of a large copper deposit. A 1912 fire consumed 28 buildings, but the town was rebuilt. The mines played out in the 1930s.
