WebJul 27, 2008 · Scarebird makes an I6 kit, using Nissan parts and all kinda wierd stuff, like he mentioned. Sure the Wilwood kit is $660, but thats 5-lug and you'd have to spend at least $200 more to swap in a 5-lug rear. Now you're up to $860, then you have to buy 5-lug wheels. Scarebird is $350ish hmmm... 66 coupe 5.0/T5, home-brewed power 4 wheel disc setup ... WebSep 11, 2006 · I just finished the Scarebird front disc brake conversion on my '63 hardtop. I did the 4-lug swap using the Nissan rotors and Chev Cavalier calipers. I changed to dual master cylinder (Mustang) though you can use the existing single with a proportioning valve plumbed into the rear line.

WebJul 24, 2024 · I believe there are disc brake swap brackets that use the metric G body/S10 front disc brakes for the LM Corvair but the Corvair is a light weight vehicle and doesn’t require as much front brake and a front engine vehicle would.. I believe there is a company that sells caliper brackets for Corvair’s on EBay called Scarebird.
